Christmas LED lights have become the eco friendly light of the future. It is not only used for the holidays, but also for regular every day use for both indoors and outdoors. LED stands for light emitting diode, which means there is a small computer chip, or diode, within the bulb that emits light. LEDs have been around since the 1920s, but the early LED lights emitted a low-intensity red light, not at all like the bright light that we enjoy today. The modern LED lights of today come in a wide range of colors and the brightness is unsurpassed.

LED lights have superiority over traditional incandescent lights.  They use less than half the energy of incandescent bulbs, and are so much brighter they can be seen from farther distances. The lifetime of Christmas LED lights can be over twenty times longer than incandescent bulbs.

Christmas LED lights are a little more expensive than incandescent light bulbs, but well worth the cost. They will not need to be replaced every year, and save on power bills. An additional feature of the Christmas LED lights is they stay cool to the touch so you will not have to worry about any little hands being burned. Christmas LED lights are made of a hard epoxy plastic that will not shatter.

Christmas LED lights come in a variety of sizes and shapes. If you own C7 or C9 light strings you can use the existing strings and replace just the light bulbs. Replace your old mini lights and icicle lights with LED lights and save energy. There are many more shapes and sizes of Christmas LED lights to pick from, so you are sure to find the lights that are right for you.
